Citizens Bond Oversight Committee

The Pleasanton Unified School District seeks community member applicants for the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee, which is being established as a result of Measure I1 receiving at least 55% approval from voters in the District at the November 8, 2016 election.

The Committee will help to ensure Measure I1 funds are spent only on projects listed in Measure I1, and that no funds are used for any other purpose, including teacher and administrator salaries and other school operating expenses as well as receive and review copies of the annual financial and performance audits with respect to the bond projects as required by state law.

To apply, please submit a letter of qualification and application by February 28, 2017.

The Committee will be comprised of at least seven (7) members and no more than 10 members including representatives from the following populations:

  • One member who is active in a business organization representing the business community located within the District.
  • One member who is active in a senior citizens’ organization.
  • One member who is active in a bona fide taxpayers’ organization.
  • One member who is the parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the District.
  • One member who is the parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the District and who is active in a parent-teacher organization, such as the PTA or school site council.
  • At least 2, and not more than 5 members selected from the public at large.
