Lydiksen School Site Council

Lydiksen is looking for two parents to serve on the school site council. Being on the SSC is one of the ways parents can have input into how the school allocates its state and federal categorical funding and monitors student progress throughout the year.

The SSC generally meets four times a year, usually for an hour after school. The council consists of 10 members: four Lydiksen staff, five parents, and the principal.

Elections take place on an annual basis, but members serve a two-year term. If you would like to be considered for one of the two open seats, please e-mail Principal Jacob Berg at [email protected] by Friday, May 12 with a paragraph explaining your background and interest in joining the Lydiksen School Site council. You may also nominate a parent that you know would represent the parent community on the council. Please let the parent know you are nominating them, and Mr. Berg will contact them with more information.

Ballots to vote on candidates will be available in the Lydiksen School office May 17-31, and election results will be announced on Friday, June 2, the last day of school. New SSC members will be seated at the first site council meeting of the 2017-18 school year. If you have questions, please e-mail Mr. Berg.
