About Me

Hi! My name is Ms. Laine and I am so excited to be your (or your child’s) teacher! This will be my fourth year teaching and my first year at Lydiksen Elementary. I taught fifth grade for two years and one year of third grade part-time and reading intervention part-time.

I was born and raised in Pleasanton where I attended Walnut Grove Elementary, Pleasanton Middle School and Amador Valley High School. I stayed local for college and received my Bachelors and Masters degrees at CSU East Bay. I have my Masters degree in education with an option in reading instruction. I was living in Southern California and recently moved back to Pleasanton to be closer to my family. I just couldn’t seem to stay away from my favorite town! :)

In my free time, you might see me working out at Bay Club or Orange Theory, taking my dog Theo for a walk around the sports park, or out to eat at my favorite restaurants downtown Pleasanton. I also love to travel and stay active!

I strive to create a positive and encouraging classroom environment, where each student feels like they can ask questions and share ideas while feeling supported by myself and their peers. I am looking forward to an amazing school year! :)
